Creating SMB Shares

SMB Shares can be created using Hub’s SMB creating wizard. Create a new SMB share by following the steps below:

  1. Launch the SMB creation wizard.

    1. Navigate to the SMB Shares page.

    2. Click Create.

  2. Provide the initial options.

    1. Select the desired Pool and parent Dataset.

    2. Enter a dataset name into the field next to the path selection.

    3. Choose a Storage Profile or accept the default General File System.

    4. (Optional) Enter a description.

    5. Click Next to continue.

  3. Configure the dataset’s Permissions or continue with the inherited parent permissions.

  4. Configure ABAC.

  5. Configure the SMB Sharing Options.

  6. Click Skip to confirmation.

  7. Review the configuration summary and click Create SMB Share to complete the creation.
