System Update

BrickStor receives software updates with new functionality and bug fixes. If the system is connected to the internet, it will periodically check for the updates and prompt the user to install them.

To check for updates, navigate to the OS Update - Versions page and click Check for Updates. This will reach out to https://myracktop.com and verify if a new release is available.

Installing new software update

Activating the update requires a system reboot. Be sure to plan a maintenance window for the service interruption.

  1. Navigate to the OS Update - Versions page.

  2. The new software update will be listed under Overview section (for example: Upgrade 23.7.2 is available). Click the info button to see the release change log.

  3. Click the download button to download and install the software package showing the progress.

  4. Once the installation is completed, click the activate button to activate it next time the system boots.

  5. When ready, reboot the system.
