Email notifications

BrickStor SP produces various health reports and service notifications via email. In order to receive these notifications, configure the SMTP mail settings.

Mail settings

To configure the SMTP mail settings, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the Mail Settings page.

  2. Click SMTP Settings, located at the top of the page.

  3. Enter the SMTP Server hostname or IP address.

  4. Enter the specified port number.

  5. (Optional) Enter the SMTP username and password.

  6. Configure the From Address.

  7. Click Apply.

Follow the Testing email notifications steps to ensure the SMTP server configuration is healthy.

Subscribing to notifications

Subscriptions on BrickStor SP are a mechanism for sending email notifications for various system events and reports.

To add one or more subscribers, follow the steps below.

  1. Click Add Subscription, located at the top of the page.

  2. Enter one or more email addresses to be notified.

  3. Select the report type or report group to subscribe to.

  4. Click Subscribe.

Testing email notifications

To send a test email, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Send Email, located at the top of the page.

  2. Enter the desired email address.

  3. Ensure Test email is selected on the Send dropdown.

  4. Click Send.

This test email should be received by the specified email momentarily, sent by the configured From Address.
