Creating Resource Groups Resource Groups are logical containers that allows grouping and managing multiple pools and their associated network interface(s). To learn more about Resource Groups, visit Managing Resource Groups. To create a new Resource Group: Navigate to the HA page. Select an HA cluster node. Under Actions in the information pane, click Create Resource Group. In the Add Resource Group dialog, enter the necessary information: Description - (Optional) Enter meaningful text describing the purpose of this Resource Group (ex: "User Data") Node - Select the node where the Resource Group will initially reside once created if any. Preferred Node - (Optional) Select the node where the Resource Group will reside. Pools - Select one or more pools to be included in this Resource Group. A pool can only belong to a single Resource Group. VNIC - Virtual IPv4 network interface to be created for this Resource Group. CIDR address - Enter the IPv4 address using CIDR notation (ex: 192.168.0.1/24) Over - Select a physical network interface for this VNIC to be created over. MTU - (Optional) Enter a custom value for Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU). By default this will use "Auto" value to inherit MTU size of the physical interface. Route - (Optional) Add static route(s) for a given VNIC. Destination - Route destination using CIDR notation (ex: 0.0.0.0/0) Gateway - Route gateway IP address. When the VNIC IP address is already defined, the value will default to the first host address of the subnet. (ex: 192.168.0.1) Click Add.
