S3 Buckets

S3 Buckets can be created in form of a dataset to allow sharing data using the Amazon S3 protocol. S3 can also be enabled for an existing NFS and/or SMB dataset while maintaining the same data access and security policies.

To create a new S3 bucket, Navigate to the S3 Buckets page in Hub and follow the steps below:

  1. Click Create.

    1. Select the desired Pool and parent Dataset.

    2. Enter a dataset name into the field next to the path selection.

    3. Choose a Storage Profile or accept the default General File System.

    4. (Optional) Enter a description.

    5. Click Next to continue.

  2. Take note of Server and Port information.

  3. Use Manage Access Keys to create a new key.

  4. Configure the dataset’s Permissions or continue with the inherited parent permissions.

  5. Click Skip to confirmation.

  6. Review the configuration summary and click Create S3 Bucket to complete the creation.
