Creating SMB Shares

SMB Shares can be created using Hub’s SMB creating wizard. Create a new SMB share by following the steps below:

  1. Launch the SMB creation wizard.

    1. Navigate to the SMB Shares page.

    2. Click Create located on the toolbar.

  2. Provide the initial options.

    1. Select the desired Pool and parent Dataset.

    2. Enter a dataset name into the field next to the path selection.

    3. Choose a Storage Profile or accept the default General File System.

    4. (Optional) Enter a description.

    5. Click Next to continue.

  3. Configure the dataset’s Permissions or continue with the inherited parent permissions.

  4. Configure the SMB Sharing Options.

  5. Click the Skip to confirmation button.

  6. Review the configuration summary and click the Create SMB Share button to complete the creation.
