Cluster Settings Take extra care when manipulating the following settings. It is highly advised to consult with RackTop support before changing the default values. Configure Failover & Timeouts Configuring the failover & timeouts will adjust how the cluster will respond to each respective scenario. Navigate to the HA page. Scroll down and click the Cluster object. Click the Configure Failover & Timeouts action to view the Configure Cluster options. These settings are used to control automatic failover behavior when a cluster node member becomes degraded or faulted. Move Resources - Transfer the Resource Groups from the degraded or faulted node to the healthy node. Move Resources and disable node - Transfer the Resource groups to the surviving node and disable the degraded or faulted node when it comes back online. Auto fail-over disabled - Disables HA failover. Cluster Members Settings The requirements for configuring HA Cluster members are listed under a dropdown called Requirements. The configuration of the two nodes and the witness is setup under the Configuration dropdown. Local Node - The IP address of the appliance that is currently being viewed. Remote Node - The IP address of the other HA cluster member. Witness - The IP address of the witness. Heartbeat - Heartbeat network interface directly connecting both cluster nodes. Common Resource Group Physical Interface - Is a common network interface across all cluster members. It will be designated as a default Resource Group data network. This could be a physical network interface or an aggregate. Common HA Comms Port (advanced) - HA communication port. This allows changing from the default TCP port 4746. Configure Cluster Members Configuring cluster members will setup what appliances will be included in the cluster itself. Navigate to the HA page. Scroll down and click the Cluster object. Under Actions, click Configure Cluster Members to be prompted with the setup wizard. Enter the IP address of the Local node, Remote node, and Witness. Enter the heartbeat for the Local node and Remote node. Select a Common Resource Group Physical Interface. Click Apply once all values are inputted. Figure 1. Example of a finished configuration
